Laser Peels

NanoLaserPeel™ (NLP™) or MicroLaserPeel® (MLP®)

Peelings au laser pour une peau plus fraîche et plus jeune chez SABBYA

Laser Peels helps get fresher, younger skin via an innovative, non-invasive Nano Laser Peel™ (NLP™) at SABBYA in Montreal. Utilizing a scanning erbium laser to remove the outer layers of skin in a safe, precise manner, dead cells are replaced by healthier ones – improving texture and clarity, and reducing signs of aging.

With minimal downtime, this non-invasive light resurfacing treatment evens out skin tone, texture, and colour, and restores a healthy-looking, fresh glow. The laser peel is the perfect tool for removing fine wrinkles that result from photoaging. The treatment strips away large areas of mild lines quickly with automated scanning.

With MicroLaserPeel® (MLP®), light energy instantly removes the top layers of the skin at a depth that also accelerates its renewal process – activating special messenger proteins to help cells renew themselves. Microdermabrasion and chemical peels often do not get as deep, while other lasers leave a barrier of heat-damaged cells that interrupt the ability of these messenger proteins to communicate with deep layers of skin.

No matter the intensity of your treatment, you can expect some tightness of skin and mild redness and swelling similar to a sunburn. This may last from eight hours to a few days. A gentle cleanser and moisturizer will be recommended to protect and comfort the treated area, which should be used until skin has naturally exfoliated.

NanoLaserPeel™ and MicroLaserPeel® may be performed as part of a series lasting approximately six months, depending on the depth, areas of coverage, and your skin’s health and integrity.

Scale of invasiveness and intensity: Most invasive. Requires application of numbing cream and downtime.

NANOLASERPEEL™: WHAT TO EXPECT

Pain and discomfort are subjective. Experiences will vary.

Utilizing a YAG erbium scanning laser, a Laser Peel gently vaporizes the upper layer of skin to a desired depth. The body recognizes this as a wound and immediately begins to regenerate new cells, resulting in a youthful radiance and more even tone. At SABBYA in Montreal, we use a topical anesthetic to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.

1. Consultation

During your consultation, your clinician will advise you on the depth of the peel based on your specific skin concerns, dermal health, and how much downtime you can tolerate.

2. Prep the skin

Our clinician will cleanse the skin and apply a numbing cream to the treatment area, lasting approximately 45 minutes for your comfort.

3. Treat the damaged skin

Your clinician positions the predetermined depth of the LaserPeels. They then position the laser handpiece above the skin and hold it in place as the computer-guided scanner moves the laser beam around the treatment area.

4. Discuss post care

Once the treatment is done, we apply a light hydrating gel or cream  to keep the skin moist. This should be used for two to seven days, depending on the depth of the peel. Post-care instructions will be given and thoroughly explained.
